Graduates Only – You must have already completed a Kingstown College coaching diploma or equivalent to apply for this course

The Professional Diploma in Team Coaching is focused on equipping coaches with the knowledge, skills and confidence to coach a team.

By taking the ICF and EMCC competencies of coaching as a foundation, we build on the existing abilities of the learner in the one-to-one setting, and move towards the additional dynamics involved in working with a wider team.

Overview of the Course Modules

The Professional Diploma in Team Coaching is delivered over approx 20 weeks and is facilitated in a Live Virtual Class. The teaching methodology will include lecture style, discussions, Q&A and breakout rooms. Following the live virtual classes, participants will engage with a team of their choice and use this experience to compete the course assessment.

Team Coaching Engagement
Participants are expected to find a team to work with and engage with Team and/or Stakeholders on 4 occasions. Q&A sessions are schedule during this time to provide support for participants during the engagement.
Assignment Portfolio

The portfolio is submitted at the end of the course and contains

Assessment Criteria
This course is assessed in line with the EMCC and ICF competencies.

Course Information

Teaching Methodology

The content of this course requires the learner to participate and put the theory into practice. The live virtual class is an interactive experience which includes lecture style delivery of content, group discussion, coaching session breakouts with other learners, and feedback on performance. Your tutor is experienced in delivering this content and will regularly monitor your performance in coaching breakout rooms.

Entry Requirements

Foundational Coach training is required to access this course. As this content is focusing on the team, it is expected that the learner is already comfortable with one-to-one coaching. This is open to graduates of a Kingstown College coaching diploma or equivalent. If you are not a graduate of Kingstown College you will be required to submit course work from your previous ICF or EMCC accredited course, and may be invited to a short interview. There are no other academic entry requirements for this course. Learners are expected to have a positive attitude for learning, collaborating with others and self development. A competent level of English will also be required to engage with the live classes, coaching sessions and written assessments.

Assessments

This course is assessed in line with the competencies of the accrediting organisations (ICF and EMCC). Therefore, traditional percentage grading is replaced by an Achieved/Not Achieved assessment on the competencies. Your assessments include

  • Reading – One prescribed coaching book and one journal article
  • Create a Team coaching presentation/program to present to other participants
  • Writing – Reflective Essay (5000 words)

Certification

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be awarded the Professional Diploma in Team Coaching from Kingstown College. This course also contains 39 CCE hours for ICF Credential renewal.

This course is also accredited at Practitioner Level for EMCC Individual Team Coaching Accreditation.
