The Professional Diploma in Coaching Supervision is one of the few fully virtual, live, accredited programmes of its kind — combining academic rigour with practical, real-world experience. This is not just about gaining a credential — it’s about becoming a reflective leader who supports and develops others in the global coaching profession.

The Diploma is a six-module journey designed to develop your competence, confidence, and reflective presence as a supervisor. Each module combines theory, live practice, and reflective integration — ensuring you not only understand supervision concepts but embody them in your work.

Course Information

Teaching Methodology

The content of this course requires the learner to participate and put the theory into practice. The live virtual class is an interactive experience which includes lecture style delivery of content, group discussion, coaching session breakouts with other learners, and feedback on performance. Your tutor is experienced in delivering this content and will regularly monitor your performance in coaching breakout rooms.

Certification

Upon successful completion, you’ll receive the Professional Diploma in Coaching Supervision, fully accredited by EMCC Global (ESQA). This qualification demonstrates that you are professionally trained to supervise coaches in line with international best practice.

Graduates are eligible to apply for EMCC’s Senior Practitioner or ESIA accreditation in Coaching Supervision.

Entry Requirements

We welcome applications from experienced coaches who are ready to deepen their professional practice. Typical applicants will have:

  • A recognised coaching qualification
  • A minimum of 500 hours of coaching experience
  • A professional credential (ICF, EMCC, or AC) — desirable but not essential

Coaching supervision is a professional, reflective dialogue between a supervisor and a coach. Who is this programme designed for?
This Diploma is designed for experienced coaches who wish to develop their capacity to supervise other coaches effectively, deepen their own reflective practice, and gain an internationally recognised accreditation in coaching supervision. It’s ideal for coaches, organisational leaders, HR professionals, and coaching consultants who already have significant experience and are ready for advanced development.
What are the entry requirements?
We consider applications on an individual basis. Typically, successful applicants will have: a recognised coaching qualification, around 500+ hours of coaching experience, and (optional but desirable) accreditation from a professional body such as EMCC, ICF, or AC. What is the format and duration of the course?
The programme is delivered live online across the academic year, beginning in 2026. Sessions run weekly, with a maximum of 16 participants per group to ensure personal attention and depth of learning.
Is the programme accredited?
Yes. This Diploma is fully accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC Global) and holds the European Supervision Quality Award (ESQA) — the highest global quality standard for supervision training. Graduates are eligible to apply for EMCC’s Senior Practitioner or ESIA accreditation in Coaching Supervision.
Coaching Change & Conflict

Tools such as SCARF, TACT and Switching Perspectives are explored in this module. We take a deeper look at emotions, triggers, conflict styles and models for understanding how individuals process change.

How will I learn?
Learning is dynamic, collaborative, and reflective. Each session includes live facilitation, breakout discussions, triad practice, fishbowl supervision demonstrations, and reflective practice groups. Between sessions, you’ll engage in readings, reflective journaling, and real-world supervision practice.
What assessments are required?
To achieve the Diploma, you’ll complete a recorded supervision session with reflective commentary, a 2,500-word reflective case study, a 2,500-word personal inquiry essay, a 1,000-word final personal statement, and 25 hours of logged supervision practice. These assignments are designed to integrate theory and practice rather than simply test knowledge.
How much is the course fee?
The total course fee is €4,995 but for this upcoming intake we have a special introductory offer of € 500 off (total course fees : €4,495 ). What technology or software do I need?
You’ll need a stable internet connection, a computer or tablet with camera and microphone, and access to Zoom for live classes. All materials and resources are accessible via the Kingstown College online learning portal.
